Who is FRANCIS NYENDE ?
Francis is a dynamic marketing and innovation leader with a proven track record of building
brands, accelerating growth, and delivering commercial impact across Uganda’s most
competitive industries. With over a decade of experience spanning finance, brand
management, and innovation, he brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to marketing
leadership.
The experience of FRANCIS NYENDE
Currently, Francis is the Marketing Manager at the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), where
he leads the charge in positioning Uganda as a premier tourism destination. He is
responsible for brand strategy, integrated marketing campaigns, and stakeholder
engagement to unlock the full economic potential of the tourism sector
Francis has held impactful roles in some of the region’s leading beverage companies. He
started his marketing journey at Nile Breweries Limited (AB InBev), where he worked on
mainstream beer brands, gaining hands-on experience in brand management and consumer
engagement.
He later joined Uganda Breweries Limited (Diageo), where he served as
Lead Innovations Manager, driving innovation strategy, portfolio expansion, and new
product development across multiple categories. He also served as Marketing Manager –
Mainstream Spirits, leading the repositioning of core brands

Academic Qualifications
He began his career in finance and accounting after earning a Bachelor of Science in
Business Statistics and later an MBA, developing strong analytical and business foundations
that have shaped his strategic approach to marketing
